About Me

My name is Emily Allred, and I am the founder of Make a Joyful Noise Music Studio.

I am passionate about teaching students of all backgrounds—from enthusiastic five-year-olds belting Disney tunes to seasoned concert performers refining their artistry.

I specialize in working with instrumentalists and vocalists from beginner to advanced levels, helping them discover joy, confidence, and meaningful opportunities in the art they so love.

I hold a Composite Degree in Choir, Band, and Orchestra Education from the University of Utah, and I bring a diverse background in teaching music across elementary, junior high, and high school classrooms. In addition, I have over 20 years of experience teaching private lessons.

Currently, I offer individual and group instruction in voice, piano, and flute from my home studio in Eagle Mountain, Utah. I have also taught at the Crescent School of Music and served as a vocal director for numerous choirs and theatrical productions throughout Utah Valley.

Whether you're searching for a long-term instructor to guide you toward your musical goals, a neuro-vocal coach to support vocal recovery, or a one-time session to prepare for a high-stakes audition, I am here to support your journey.

My students benefit from dynamic, engaging lessons, regular performance opportunities, and vocal workshops—all designed to build confidence and expressive skill. My private students have performed in The Rise Up Children's Choir, The Good and the Beautiful audio/visual choir, Bella Voce, Lehi Community Choir, Alpine School District Performing Arts, Mountain Valley and Eagle Mountain Theater. I find great joy in watching them grow both musically and personally.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to perform throughout the United States and Europe, and the privilege of studying under renowned educators and coaches including Dr. Brady Allred, Dr. John Cooksey, Dr. Paul Dorgan, Jaimee Belnap, Andrew Byrne, and Sophie Jolls.

One of my greatest passions lies in exploring the intricacies of the human body and voice. I believe that music is not only a powerful form of expression but also a tool for healing, encouragement, and transformation.

As Hans Christian Andersen so beautifully said, “Where words fail, music speaks.”
